The week seemed to go by fast and I am tired. Also, I am still trying to recover from last Saturday.
My mother and step-dad are moving across town; and though there are other people who are doing the actual moving of the big stuff, I have tried to help my mom sort through and toss out...you know the drill if you've ever moved, and I know many of you have.
There has been some drama involving my x-step-sister-in-law. Drama is always exhausting; even more so when it is totally unnecessary. Suffice it to say, my mom will now be in a better situation with the change of residence, and the sister-in-law, daughter-in-law person will be out of the picture!!
My mom and step-dad have been living in a house that my step-dad used to own but needed to sell a few years ago. My step-dad's x-daughter-in-law was still his daughter-in-law back then. Her mother died and left her money, so she bought the house from him. She made the purchase so she could be a controlling and bossy bitch her father-in-law wouldn't have to move after being ill, in his old age.
My mom and step-dad have been living in, and paying rent on the house. The daughter-in-law woman is now divorced from step-dad's son. You know what they say, "hell hath no fury...". Last Saturday was an ugly day with her. She is vacationing in Hawaii at present and all is peaceful here without her. She is a hateful and selfish person human being who deserves love as much as anyone. I have tried to be a friend to her through the years. I have tried. I can do no more. Everyone has been good to this woman. We all need peace from the situation now.
My mom doesn't want me to do a lot because she worries about all I have in my own life to do. However, I do what I can and what she will allow me to. Everything will be fine now. I have to believe it is so.
Bentley is doing some better. At first, it seemed he would make another full recovery, as he did a year ago when he had the problems in the area of his hind end. Now, though the steroids have helped him, he is not quite the puppy dog he was before. The good thing is, he no longer even tries to jump and carry on. He is not crying or whining. He is not in pain; if he were, I would be saying my goodbys. He is simply an old puppy dog, who is acting more his age than ever.
Unfortunately, not unlike his human mom, he will always have a wobble, and remain somewhat unsteady; though mama here, is more unsteady in the legs and ankles, and Bentley is more unsteady in his hind parts. From here on, Bentley's life will be much more subdued I think. Not sure how much longer we will have the boy, but, he seems content with the changes he is willingly making in his little life. He still howls happily when we come in from our jobs for the day--happy to see us. He still begs for milk bones and rolls a bit on the floor. He is just much more subdued.
I am thankful to those who have said prayers for our little fella'. Also, it has been nice to have you ask about him. I haven't been able to get in touch with the animal chiropractor I found, as yet. It could be there is no longer an office in the area. I am working with Bentley on some exercises I know are safe and seem to be comfortable for him. Thank you again for your kindness and concern. You know who you are...
*I will be posting some Christmas pictures soon. Though I know it is late, and after the fact, I will want to share with you when I get my pictures on CD back. Santa never brought my digital camera....aaaaaw.... and dang it all!
